Biomass plant supplies location hallein with heat

The new biomass heating plant at the Hallein site supplies our office building, the so-called TimberBrain, as well as our production facilities with heat. The two modern biomass boilers in the boiler house achieve a heating capacity of 1400 kW and 360 kW and can be operated on a demand-oriented scale. Residual wood from the production on site as well as the specially produced pellets are used as fuel material. This measure can save up to 5,556.75 tons of CO₂ per year in full-load operation.
